Coco Fusco's Sightings Photo series created in conjunction with a/k/a Mrs. George Gilbert video commemorates the frenzied mis-identifications that were made by "concerned citizens", police and federal agents during the months when Angela Davis, a scholar and political activist, was a fugitive in 1970, when scores of other black women were mistakenly targeted and arrested across the United States.
