Regina Silveira exhibits in América Latina 1960-2013, a survey of over five decades of Latin American photography, at the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain in Paris, organized by the Fondation Cartier and the Museo Amparo in Puebla, Mexico.
Bringing together more than seventy artists from eleven different countries, the exhibition reveals the great diversity of photographic practices by presenting the work of documentary photographers and contemporary artists who appropriate the medium in different ways.
Included in the exhibition is To Be Continued...(Latin American Puzzle) (1998). In the work, the chaotic and unattainable connections between different pieces serve as commentary on the superficial knowledge of Latin America, providing a metaphor for the continent’s problematic identity.
