Owners Alexander Gray and David Cabrera are pleased to announce that Ursula Davila-Villa has been appointed to Partner at Alexander Gray Associates.

Davila-Villa joined the Gallery in 2012 from the Blanton Musuem of Art at the University of Texas, where she served as Associate Curator of Latin American Art. At the Gallery, Davila-Villa initiated the publications program, played a lead role as liaison for museum exhibitions of gallery artists, including the current retrospectives of Jack Whitten (currently at the Walker Art Center) and Melvin Edwards (currently at the Zimmerli Museum). Her expertise in Latin American art is particularly relevant to the initial stages of a Luis Camnitzer catalogue raisonné being undertaken by the Gallery.

“With accuracy and integrity, good humor and grace, Ursula’s extraordinary leadership has contributed to the Gallery’s growth over the past three years. She has the confidence of the Gallery’s artists, a solid reputation among museum colleagues, the deep respect of the Gallery’s staff and vendors, and affection of our clients. We are delighted to announce her promotion to Partner at the Gallery.” –Alexander Gray and David Cabrera
