The John and Geraldine Lilley Museum of Art's press release follows:

Can you hear a painting? Do artworks ever ask their viewers to listen? How can sound be employed by artists as a tool of resistance? These are some of the questions explored in the work of Jennie C. Jones, LaRissa Rogers and Naama Tsabar. The artists in this exhibition work creatively with sound, noise and silence to engage with a wide array of cultural, political, phenomenological and artistic questions.

To Hold a Form challenges us to consider the boundaries between sound and silence, the reverberations of historyand the interplay between sound and solid forms.
