Jack Whitten: Painting, Politics, Technology, a symposium organized in conjunction with the exhibition Light Years: Jack Whitten, 1971-1973, on view through December 15, 2013 at the Rose Art Museum of Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, curated by Katy Siegel.

In addition to Jack Whitten, the symposium features Rose Art Museum Curator at Large Katy Siegel, artist Mark Bradford, Artforum Editor Michelle Kuo, Brandeis Professor Mingus Mapps, and University of Virginia Associate Professor Howard Singerman.
