Hassan Sharif included in the exhibition The Books of Asia curated by Sunjung Kim, at The Asian Culture Institute, Gwangju, South Korea.

The Books of Asia opens on 25 November to coincide with the opening of Asia Culture Centre in Gwangju. The exhibition, which consists of two sections, envisions a future for the Library Park that will create new models for archives and libraries. Hassan Sharif's works are included in the second part, which presents encyclopedic volumes of books from the 19th century. In the context of the exhibition, his work, alongside those by Kim Ku Lim and Sung Neung Kyung, examines the communicative imperfection that result from radical and abrupt shifts of media through which knowledge is produced and delivered. The works explore alternatives to these phenomena from the very errors.
