Luis Camnitzer and Coco Fusco are among eight visual artists awarded a $50,000 fellowship from United States Artists, a national grant-making and advocacy organization that recognizes innovative and influential artists in a variety of artistic endeavors.

Lorraine O'Grady celebrates the public opening of her personal and professional papers at Wellesley College. The event includes a talk with O'Grady and a reception to follow. O'Grady's collection is the first major acquisition of alumnae papers at the Wellesley College Archives.

Lorraine O'Grady featured in re.act.feminism #2 at the Fundació Antoni Tàpies in Barcelona, Spain.

The Luis Camnitzer retrospective, featuring 70 works from the Daros Latinamerica Collection, on view at the Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales in Montevideo, Uruguay.

The exhibition features works from 1966 – present, detailing Camnitzer's contributions to conceptual art. In collaboration with the Daros Latinamerica Collection, the Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales provides the Uruguayan public with a comprehensive look at Camnitzer's body of work.

Curated by Katrin Steffen and Hans-Michael Herzog, the exhibition positions Camnitzer as a key figure in art of the second half of the 20th century.

Melvin Edwards participates in Now Dig This! Art and Black Los Angeles 1960–1980 at MoMA PS1 in Long Island City, NY. The exhibition is curated by Dr. Kellie Jones and organized by the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles.

Jack Whitten featured in solo exhibition, Jack Whitten: Loops, at Zeno X Gallery, Antwerp, Belgium.

Coco Fusco premieres new performance, And the Sea Will Talk to You, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Fischer Theater as part of the 30th Next Wave Festival. Curated by Martha Wilson, the Festival is one of BAM's programs featuring contemporary art, performance, theater, and film.
